Getting in from the airport
Bali's airport (DPS) is in the south. Ubud is about 1–1.5 hours by car; Seminyak and Uluwatu are 20–45 minutes depending on traffic.
Getting around
There's no real public transport. Use Grab or Gojek for short hops, or hire a private driver for the day — ideal for a group.
Temple etiquette
Cover shoulders and knees; most temples lend or rent sarongs at the entrance.
Where to stay as a group
Split it: a few nights in Ubud for jungle and culture, then Seminyak or Uluwatu for beaches and sunsets. Villas with a shared pool are great value for groups.
FAQ
Is 5 days enough for Bali?
Enough for Ubud plus the south coast. Add days for the Nusa islands or Gili.
Should we stay in one place or two?
Two — Ubud and the coast are far apart in traffic, so splitting saves hours.
How do we split costs as a group?
Groups in Bali often share a villa, a private driver for day trips, and Grab or Gojek rides, while warungs and markets usually want cash in rupiah. Add this plan as a trip in Tripwith, invite your friends, and log each shared cost as you go, and Tripwith works out who owes who.
